Tomoka & Norzaki – Arundel Hills Wedding

Proposal: Every month we would usually take the 15th of the month as a special date night, to mark the months since we got together. So in April 2009 (16 months), Zaki brought us out for a special dinner at our favorite place. Zaki had asked me months before that, if I am keen to marry him but I did not know he was going to ask me officially that night.

After the special dinner, he took me to the Mt. Gravatt View Point for a walk and there he started talking about the length we had gone through together. Staring over the night lights overlooking Brisbane, as he talked, he suddenly got down on one knee. He asked me, “Would you marry me?” in front of the Brisbane view (as well as some other onlookers). It was exactly the type of porposal I was dreaming of, and the rest as they say, was history.

Our Reception: We had our reception at the Arundel Hills Country Club near Helensvale. Finding the venue took almost 2 months of tossing up ideas and scouting on the Gold Coast. My dream had always been to be able to capture the beautiful sights and scenes during the wedding, and so that was what we scouted for. We chose this venue for the fact that both inside and outside the reception area had beautiful sights (outside was the golf course with some well maintained green bush lands while inside had the classic look). It was also another plus that the food there was glorious.

Photographic Art: Once we selected the venue, the wedding coordinator there showed us to a bunch of wedding supplies brochures. Some friends of ours suggested selecting wedding photographers who are familiar with the area, and this is how we came to know about Photographic Art. We selected them over the others because we liked the style they had up online, and on their website.

Photographic Art were very helpful in making it very clear on how a wedding should be organised. They worked around our schedule very well, taking into account the various intricate differences between my culture, Zaki’s culture and the Australian mindset. On the day itself they were very helpful in making sure that we looked as stunning as we could be. They really made sure that we were “rock stars” for the day, and all in a very light hearted mood! The way they conducted themselves made it sure that we weren’t bored and captured all the raw emotions from us, which we absolutely loved!! After the wedding, they let us take things in by our own pace, in terms of following up with pictures for the albums and the payments. We’d definitely recommend using them and I would like to ask Photographic Art to take photos for us as our family grows.
