Michelle & Paul – Versace Wedding
Proposal: We were on the last leg of our trip to the US, and we had flown into L.A, travelling to Vegas, San Francisco and finishing up in New York City. It was the day of my 25th birthday, and we had spent the day in Central Park; that evening we had tickets to see a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden for my birthday. After the game we stopped in at Rockefeller Centre, and amongst the crowd of people, under the Magnificent Christmas Tree, Paul asked if I was ready for my present…
He pulled a ring from his pocket (diamond band ring) and said ‘this is a 2 part present…1st, this is your birthday present, and the 2nd part…I’m asking you to marry me?’ He then told me that tomorrow; we were going to Tiffany’s (5th avenue) to pick out my ring…(one we had looked at 2 days earlier – which I thought was just ‘for fun’) I had always wished for the dream proposal like you see in the movies, and I in fact got more than I wished for.
How we met: I first met Paul at the tavern I worked at. He asked me out for coffee – just ‘as friends’, which I had declined several times…but he persisted and finally I gave in.
Our Reception: Paul and I had looked at several of the venues on the Coast .We hadn’t even thought of Versace, until I came across it in the Luxury Weddings magazine. We made an appointment to find out some details and decided to book it in that day.
The Palazzo Versace was the perfect venue, very fitting to our theme of Stylish Elegance. Their Wedding Co-coordinator Teagan was exceptional along with all the service staff on the day. Before the reception commenced, we stepped inside the La Medusa Ballroom to get some photos and we were blown away by how beautiful it was. We knew it would be fabulous, being ‘Versace’, but it far exceeded both of our expectations, it’s all very evident in our photos!
A testimonial about your photographers
Photographic Art: They are absolutely amazing at what they do! They were so accommodating on the day, making both of us feel at ease. They were extremely patient and whilst getting photographed is something you never get used to, feeling uncomfortable in different shots.. The end result is phenomenal.
Our wedding photography was something we both felt was one of the most important parts of our wedding. It’s the way you can remember your day, it all goes really fast and there is always bits and pieces you miss or wish you could live again. We can not speak highly enough of Photographic Art’s work both on the day and in the album process after the wedding, they have truly been able to present and preserve our memories in a way that we will never forget.
